Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
Education / Experience
Requires an associate's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Roles and Responsibilities
Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Additional Comments
The PC Technicians role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required. Job Accountabilities 1. PC Support 80% 2. Server Support 10% 3. All other Support 10% Successful candidate will foster open communication, foster teamwork, analyze issues, act with integrity and display adaptability. Function Technical Competencies required: 1. Dell Hardware 2. Microsoft Office 3. Networking Education and Experience 0-3 years of experience and High School Diploma required
